Oven to Table Classic

I want this pot... ok, lets face it. It would appear that I want EVERY pot that Le Creuset puts out, but thing is is... I love to cook! And each pot throws me into some fantasy world where I'm surrounded by friends and family and there is something "stewing" on the stove of my fabulous kitchen!  This color is "aubergine" which in most other parts of the world is eggplant.

 

In my fantasy today, meatballs are stewing on the stove with merengue playing in the background, while B has football on the big screen. A pleasant Sunday.

Stems of happiness

As a special treat for... being me (!) I have been picking up some relatively cheap Trader Joe's flowers to brighten up my apartment and life.

These are the last 3 weeks worth of flowers make my apartment oh so cheery :)

Pay no attention to all the crap in this photo such as : The crutches, the recycling, the red vase, my vest on the door, and the eye sore of all the sneakers.

But check out my cute... baker's rack?

I found it on my way to a Saturday Yoga class. It was amazing, we were 1/2 hour early to the class, and ran across the street in our yoga attire to shop.

This is a much better piece than the dull 1/2 book shelf that we used to use behind the door. I may invest in bigger baskets... but naturally, B doesn't think they are needed.

My New Baby

To be named... my new dream fridge is everything I was hoping for! I forgot how amazing COLD milk tastes!

The fridge, fits... like a custom fridge. I think there is 1/8 of an inch on each side of the wood. All of this food filled my old fridge. I feel like hitting up Costco... just to fill in the gaps!

The Mark

See that lovely mark above my left eye brow??? Well, I walked... full steam ahead, right into my screened in porch door.

OUCH!

I felt a bit like a moron. In my own defense, I was distracted by a delivery man (who witnessed the entire event and laughed) calling my name, and the sun was hitting the apartment in a way that I didn't see the grate of the door. Plus the slider was open for an hour for the delivery of the fridge...

I bounced off the screen straight out of a cartoon... embarrassing.

Ceramics Fun

I made this coaster a few weeks ago at my friends' mom's ceramics studio in Santa Monica.

Love it! Except if you look closely, you'd realize that Tunnel View is reversed... hehehe.
